February 2007 saw the launch of the third generation of BBC2's idents based on the familiar '2' symbol. The theme is looking at the world through the logo. Many of the idents have variations - here, as the stencil is removed from the top of the cappuccino, you see sugar cubes dropping into the coffee.

Whereas in this version, you see a spoon scooping the froth from the top of the coffee.

A series of idents has been created around a chase sequence. In the first, a man is seeing being pursued through a wood at night. To escape, he hides in a 2-shaped hole in the ground.

The second sees the man escaping through a 2-shaped hole in a rock wall.

Similar location and action as the second, but the third is set at night.

In the fourth ident, the man escapes by fleeing through another 2-shaped hole and hiding.

A simple scene - driving along a busy road whilst watching the reflection in a wing mirror. A version with an alternative soundtrack also airs.

Looking up at the passing sky through what at first appears to be a standard car sunroof.

Another series of idents shows different views from the unzipped opening of a tent flap. Here a view across more tents perhaps on a camp site.

In this ident, the tent opens onto a campfire on a beach at dusk.

A different setting here, on a snow-covered mountain.

In this ident, we see a seascape composed of waves crashing through a 2-shaped hole in a wooden groyne.

An interesting contrast - a Victorian zoetrope used to view a futuristic city with flying vehicles.
