BBC TWO : Past : Early 1980s

During the first half of the 1980s, BBC TWO's on-air identity reflected that of BBC ONE with this bold, 'stripey' symbol.
Early on, the animation would be accompanied by an electronic synthesized fanfare. However, more often than not, it would appear silently either animated or already formed.

BBC TWO : Past : Late 1980s

In the latter half of the 1980s, a brand new symbol was introduced for BBC TWO - again harkening to BBC ONE, but this time with the serif font for the lettering.
Like the previous symbol, it was versatile in as much as it could fade in, fade out, or appear already formed. There was no music, though.

An example of the BBC TWO symbol fading on, here with the addition of the subtitles icon.
